Telephone and library

There is a communal computer and printer at the studios. If you use a computer in your work we suggest that you bring your own.

There is a mobile telephone net in Skagaströnd. However no old fashioned payphone and no phones in the apartments. We are on the European system of mobile phones. Please check with your telephone company before you leave to see if your telephone is the right type.

For all residents who have a “pay as you go” contract you may also have to engage your telephone for foreign countries.

If a telephone is vital to you we recommend that you buy an Icelandic phone and/or telephone number.

These are cheapest at the duty-free in the arrivals hall (before you go downstairs to customs and duty) in Keflavík airport.

There is a payphone at the studios and you can buy a phone card at the office for 1.000 ISK and that gives you about 60 minutes of talking time.
