Artist in Residence – Kathleen Scott

ARTIST IN RESIDENCE Kathleen Scott is an American artist with an interdisciplinary practice, primarily in cut paper, sound, photography, printmaking, animation, video and installation. Kathleen’s work revolves around the malleability of memory:
“Science shows us that we change our memories as we recall them, shaping and forming the story we tell ourselves that are our lives. With my work, I strive to create pieces that exist in the gray area between memory and imagination.” While at Nes, Kathleen is hoping to create paper works in reaction to her surroundings, as well as continue a long-term animation/video project about the Arctic.
