Printmaker from Germany, educated at Academy of Fine Arts Stuttgart, living and working in Marl and Herten, Northrhine- Westfalia. My prints are regularly shown internationally in solo and group exhibitions as well as at art fairs.Usually realizing big abstract woodcut prints, I’m fascinated by the impressive landscape, the rugged coastline and the finds from daily walks on the beach. Specifically the large amount of kelp that has washed up on the beach. The way they lay around, the colors, the state of their decomposition inspires me greatly to create a series of small woodcuts. I wonder whether the kelp that has apparently been torn from the seabed is also due to climate change.
Captured on camera, the images provide me with plenty of material for drawing studies and inspire me to create a series of small woodcuts.
