Renée Abaroa & Claudia Goulet-Blais

Mexico and Canada

Renée and Claudia recently organized a two-session workshop centered around creating paper mache pumpkins, perfectly timed for the Halloween season. During the first session, they provided a brief talk inspired by the renowned artist Yayoi Kusama, setting the creative tone for the workshop. In this session, participants learned the process of constructing the paper mache sculptures. The following week, during the second session, attendees focused on painting their sculptures, adding their personal artistic touch. To further enhance the Halloween ambiance, spooky Halloween music played in the background throughout the workshops. The final creations were proudly displayed at the NES opið hús event, giving participants a chance to showcase their completed sculptures for all to admire.
