Izabelle Desroches is a visual artist, cultural mediator, and curator living and working in Quebec City, Canada. Through a relational approach, her work explores the connections between the body, territory, and memory. She is interested in how images generate narratives and in exploring territories through a sensitive and ecological approach. Her practice incorporates natural dyeing and photographic development processes using organic chemistry, in relation to the materials and resources available in the environments where she works. Travel is at the heart of her artistic practice, both as a way of experiencing new spaces and as a catalyst for encounters and storytelling. Each of her projects is developed through a direct relationship with the places, people, and memories that inhabit and shape them. Her visual art work has been exhibited in Canada, Belgium, and Chile.
