Artist-in-Residence pauline buzaré conceives of her work as a poetics of matter where the body and the landscape meet and merge.
Travel is a major source of inspiration and a testing ground for the production of her works in large format (installation, video, performance) and in small format (micro-editions, artists’ books). The discovery of a landscape through a slow and immersive approach leads her to develop imagination through the sensory and bodily experience of a place.
From these experiences emerge videos and performances, presented as installations with projections and performance. Composed of inert objects and bodies in motion, pauline’s installations construct and express an atmospheric landscape in which she invites visitors to participate.
