On February 16 and 23, 2026, artist-in-residence Hannah Brinson organized an illustration and narrative art workshop at Nes with the assistance of Kristbjörg Dúfa Ragnheiðardóttir and Höfðaskóli Skagaströnd. Students started with an abstract painting of shapes and colors which they then folded into a zine (mini book). Students were then encouraged to look at the resulting shapes and create narrative illustrations inspired by the shapes and colors.
