Residency Fees

As a non-profit organization we strive to keep our residency fee as low as we can.

The fees include include a room in a shared artist house + one studio space per month, along with basic house supplies, and studio and exhibition support.

2026:

• 850 EUR for a single room for one person, one bed, one studio space in  open plan communal studio or Library (for writers and researchers).
• 1000 EUR per month (single room and one work space in the shared open plan studio with access to the Music School and piano)
• 1,250 EUR for a double room for two persons, two beds, one studio space in open plan communal studio.
• 1,350 EUR for a single room for one person and private dance studio.
• 1,600 EUR for a double room for two persons, (1 larger room, two beds) and private dance studio.
• 1,450 EUR for a double room for two persons, (1 larger room, two beds),  two studio spaces in  open plan communal studio or two persons to Library (writers or researchers)
• 2,850 EUR for 3 bedroom apartment (if available) suitable for families, 1 studio space in the open plan communal studio or library (for writers and researchers).
• Large double room with private bathroom at Salthús guesthouse available on request, price varies dependant on time of year, these rooms are not available during the summer months.  Email nes@neslist.is for more information.

Fees for June, July and August listed below:

• 950 EUR for a single room for one person, one bed, one studio space in  open plan communal studio or Library (for writers and researchers).
• 1,100 Euros per month (single room and one work space in the shared open plan studio with access to the Music School and piano)
• 1,350 EUR for a double room for two persons, two beds, one studio space in open plan communal studio.
• 1,450 EUR for a single room for one person and private dance studio.
• 1,650 EUR for a double room for two persons, (1 larger room, two beds) and private dance studio.
• 1,550 EUR for a double room for two persons, (1 larger room, two beds),  two studio spaces in  open plan communal studio or two persons to Library (writers or researchers)
• 3,050 EUR for 3 bedroom apartment (if available) suitable for families, 1 studio space in the open plan communal studio or library (for writers and researchers).
