Ian Roy is a writer and multi-media artist from Canada. He is the author of 5 books, including his most recent, a novel for children called The Girl Who Could Fly. Part of that book was written while Ian was at NES back in 2018. During his current NES residency, Ian is working on a new collection of short stories called Have You Ever Been Lonely? (Have You Ever Been Blue?). Ian’s short films and videos have screened at festivals across Canada, and his screen-printing work has been shown in galleries and on street corners.
