To avoid problems with immigration, be sure to verify all visa requirements as soon as you accept your offer of residency at NES. Every country is different, it is best to start all visa processes as soon as you can. You can find visa information at https://www.utl.is/index.php/en/visas
In the first half of 2025, 60 visa exempt countries will be required to submit an ETIAS travel authorisation form to travel to Europe. The exact date when this starts has not been confirmed but you can find more information about this ETIAS form here. It seems that it will be a simple process and will cost 7euro.
