“My name is Alyse, and I am an artist from California. I am also a rock climber and spend most of my time outdoors, where I am inspired by nature, wildlife, and the need to protect and conserve our natural environment. I draw with pen and paint with watercolor, and usually combine the two. My goal as an artist is to encourage people to stop and really look at the beauty of nature and come to love and respect it as I do. And through that understanding, I hope to also instill the awareness of and desire to address the climate crisis. This is my second time here at NES, and I find Skagaströnd to be one of the most beautiful and inspiring places on earth”.
