Brian Hitselberger is an artist based in Lafayette, Indiana in the United States.
During his time at NES, he has continued to develop a growing body of works on paper that are sent through the mail. His projects in Skagaströnd have focused on impressions of Iceland that he has encountered in his research, yielding a series of postcards he sends home daily to his studio across the Atlantic. In addition, he has made use of his homemade inks to create “portraits” of both stones and skies that he has encountered during his walks and runs through the town and surrounding areas. This work will culminate in an exhibition at The Weather Station, a Lafayette artist-project space he co-manages with his studio mates.
