Follen is a Malaysian ceramic artist specializing in creating functional sculptures. Her obsession with nature and geology led her to endless experimentation with marbling and hand-building using clay and natural materials.

“I embarked on an unplanned adventure to NES, with the only plan being to throw myself into the unknown wilderness and immerse myself in the landscape. Then, I would see what it brought me in return. The result was an experimental collection using stone clay, enriched with wild clays extracted from the hills and beaches. I crafted whimsical objects inspired by the Icelandic landscape. Each piece is an imitation of the rocks, snow, layered geological features, mountains, volcanoes, waterfalls, and glaciers I encountered. The idea isn’t just about visuals; it’s about the tactile experience. I aim to immerse my audience in the sensory textures of Iceland through my pieces, allowing them to touch and feel the very land that inspired my work.”
