Renée Abaroa is a multidisciplinary artist from México. Her work could be defined as dislocated cinematography created from the investigation of everyday life, resulting mostly as a sound product with visual support. They explore various themes, including time, sound, typography, corsetry, as well as the creation of sensory atmospheres and different characters. She uses film and musical references in most of her pieces.
During the residency they developed typefaces; an archive of mp3, mp4 & jpg from the six months in Iceland; a collaborative sound piece around heartbreak and getting over someone; among other projects and collaboration with the amazing people she got to meet at NES and during her travels.
