August Smith is a poet, editor, musician, and amateur game designer from Austin, Texas. He has an MFA from University of Massachusetts Boston and 9 published chapbooks to his name, and his poems have most recently appeared in Iterant, Bullshit Lit, and Peach Mag. He’s also the former editor-in-chief of the now-defunct Cool Skull Press. At NES, he’s finishing a full-length manuscript of poetry about UFOs and the people who encounter them.
