Keith Paul Medelis is a journalist, recovering theater artist, and senior lecturer of communication and media studies at Mercy College in New York City. He is interested in writing about the assumptions surrounding our digital lives and the sociology of the Internet. While working at NES, Keith is writing about the contrast of the remotest parts of Iceland that also happen to be in the most connected country in the world—99.9% of people have high-speed wireless Internet in their homes. This chapter will be included in a series of essays that will visit some of the other most hyperconnected places on our planet. You can find out more about Keith at keithpaulmedelis.com
